La realidad virtual y aumentada llega al FICCI en su edición 63 con FICCI EXPANDIDO

Siguiendo su espíritu de exploración y en pro de la multiplicidad de miradas, FICCI Expandido presenta 4 obras de inmersión 360 de realizadorxs latinoamericanxs que desafían los límites de la percepción y las narrativas tradicionales. El XR Lounge contará con una curaduría experimental de creaciones en realidad expandida, que incluirá una selección de piezas emblemáticas de VR, junto con otras obras que hacen uso de tecnología emergente y forman parte del Docubase del MIT Open Doc Lab. Para disfrutar de esta experiencia gratuita para todos los asistentes al Festival, se necesitará hacer una previa inscripción para asegurar su participación. FICCI expandido nace de la necesidad de darle un espacio a formatos que juegan con las posibilidades de la materia, el cuerpo y la virtualidad, un lugar para contar historias que desdibujan el tiempo y el espacio, invitando al usuario a tener una visión periférica y experiencial más allá de sus creadores, de un único espacio limitado y contenido.   FICCI Expandido presenta 4 obras de inmersión 360 de realizadorxs latinoamericanxs que desafían los límites de la percepción y las narrativas tradicionales: en Floating with Spirits (Bélgica, Países Bajos, Luxemburgo, México) de Juanita Onzaga, se abre un portal mientras la comunidad Mazateca celebra, entrando en el universo de sus antepasados y de los espíritus de la naturaleza. En Origen (Brasil) de Emilia Sánchez Chiquetti, una mitológica boa de la selva amazónica advierte sobre las consecuencias medioambientales y nos enseña a coexistir con la naturaleza. Las familias de las mujeres privadas de la libertad en las cárceles de Chile comparten desde sus hogares las imágenes de los objetos y del profundo vínculo afectivo con el espacio y la vida más allá de las celdas en Volver a Casa: Madre (Chile) de Catalina Alarcón. En Permiso para Bailar: Denegado (Perú), Claudix Vanesix cuestiona las dinámicas patriarcales de su familia a partir del tradicional baile “Los negrazos de Sipza”, reclamando su lugar en la sociedad como persona trans no-binarix.    Adicionalmente, el Festival tendrá un XR Lounge con una curaduría experimental de creaciones en realidad expandida, incluyendo una selección de emblemáticas piezas de VR, junto con algunas obras que hacen uso de la tecnología emergente y forman parte del Docubase del MIT Open Doc Lab, un laboratorio abierto a la narración colaborativa, interactiva y envolvente, abierto en sus formas de narrar desde la no ficción.   Junto con la experiencia inversiva del MIT, Diana Rico presenta COCA Altar XR, un altar híbrido inspirado en la hoja de coca, explorando diversas herramientas e instrumentos antiguos y modernos relacionados con la cultura material e inmaterial de esta planta en Colombia, proyecto que trabaja actualmente como parte de su investigación creativa en curso como miembro activo del MIT Open DOC LAB. FICCI Expandido: una celebración del arte y la innovación en el Museo Naval En el marco de la edición 63, la sección de FICCI Expandido se erige como un espacio único donde convergen las fronteras del arte y la tecnología. La entrada está habilitada a público general y estará abierto desde el miércoles 17 hasta el sábado 20 de abril de 9:00 a.m. a 12 m. y de 2:00 p.m. a 6:00 p.m. Se necesitará hacer una previa inscripción para asegurar su participación en cada una de las experiencias. Haga AQUÍ su reserva.   Para garantizar su cupo, debe llegar 10 minutos antes de la hora reservada. The XR Lounge will feature an experimental curation of creations in expanded reality, which will include a selection of emblematic VR pieces, along with other works that make use of emerging technology and are part of the MIT Open Doc Lab's Docubase. To enjoy this free experience for all Festival attendees, prior registration will be required to ensure participation.    FICCI Expanded arises from the need to provide a space for formats that play with the possibilities of matter, the body, and virtuality, a place to tell stories that blur time and space, inviting the user to have a peripheral and experiential vision beyond its creators, from a single limited and contained space.   FICCI Expanded presents 4 immersive 360 works by Latin American filmmakers that challenge the limits of perception and traditional narratives: in Floating with Spirits (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Mexico) by Juanita Onzaga, a portal opens while the Mazatec community celebrates, entering the universe of their ancestors and nature spirits. In Origin (Brazil) by Emilia Sánchez Chiquetti, a mythological boa from the Amazon rainforest warns about environmental consequences and teaches us to coexist with nature. Families of women deprived of their freedom in Chilean jails share from their homes images of objects and the deep emotional bond with space and life beyond the cells in Returning Home: Mother (Chile) by Catalina Alarcón. In Permission to Dance: Denied (Peru), Claudix Vanesix questions the patriarchal dynamics of their family through the traditional dance “Los negrazos de Sipza”, claiming their place in society as a non-binary trans person.   Additionally, the Festival will have an XR Lounge with an experimental curation of creations in expanded reality, including a selection of emblematic VR pieces, along with some works that use emerging technology and are part of the MIT Open Doc Lab's Docubase, a laboratory open to collaborative, interactive, and immersive storytelling, open in its forms of narrative from non-fiction. Along with the immersive experience from MIT, Diana Rico presents COCA Altar XR, a hybrid altar inspired by the coca leaf, exploring various ancient and modern tools and instruments related to the material and immaterial culture of this plant in Colombia, a project currently being worked on as part of her ongoing creative research as an active member of the MIT Open DOC LAB.   FICCI Expanded: a celebration of art and innovation at the Naval Museum   Within the framework of the 63rd edition, the FICCI Expanded section stands as a unique space where the frontiers of art and technology converge.
